Boss.iOS and you will surely take note just how elegant and slick this theme is. But it is far from being an overly serious theme. Because of its quirky and curved looking icons, it manages to radiate a fun vibe which is great for those who are looking for a theme with a good balance of style and casual fun. There are night and day mods which cover those who are looking to have the best of both worlds (dark and bright themes). What is depicted in the screenshot is the aforementioned day mod for the theme. Definitely a great theme that's worthy of being in this list.
Neurotech [HD]
Now it's time to travel straight into the future with a highly futuristic theme which is sure to be a hit among Sci-fi junkies. As if the name of the name
Neurotech doesn't give it away, this theme is leans more on the futuristic side and gives off what the author calls a "dark-techno" vibe. Personally, it looks like something straight from TRON. This is a theme which is painstakingly created with professional computer drafting tools and 3D rendering software so that it will fully take advantage of Apple's Retina Display technology. This theme works great on both dark and light wallpapers. Pictures don’t do it justice, it has to be seen to be believed.
Jaku
Jaku (pronounced “jack-ew”) is a premium theme that is fully compatible with HD Retina Display devices. Unlike most of the Winterboard themes on this list, Jaku does not radically change the look of your iOS environment. Here's another theme which features some crazy attention to detail. Although in the screenshot, it looks like a primarily dark theme,
SE7EN is actually available in seven different colors (seven, get it?). So if you don't like dark themes, you can still try out this theme's other variants. As you can see from the screenshot, the details on the icons are quite amazing. They look really great with that glossy finish. Pretty much all elements of the user interface are themed, so this is pretty much a complete theming solution. This is personally one of the my new favorites, so it has somehow found its way into this list, and for good reason.
Faith HD
Because we know that you can't get enough of amazing white themes, here's another one that is worth checking out.
Faith HD is made with the idea of creating a predominantly white complete with meticulously made, detailed custom icons. The result is a great looking white theme with some of the most details icons in the history of iOS theming. Although the them is mostly white, you have several options when it comes to the color schemes of the icon. Even if you prefer dark themes, Faith HD has a dark version as well. Options, options, and more options, you just can't go wrong with more options when it comes to customization. And that's what makes this theme so great.
MiOS
Want a dash of Mac OS into your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch? Well, here's a theme that you should definitely consider.
MiOS is like the lovechild of the Mac OS and iOS after modder Truckinlow has put his own twist into it. And based on the results, I know most of you will agree that he did one hell of a job. This is the designer's vision of what sort of Winterboard theme will be made in case Apple decides to make one. MiOS modifies pretty much all aspects of the UI so you won't find yourself getting upset just because a certain part of the iOS is not themed. This theme has been growing on me lately.
Elite PRO HD
Elite PRO HD is a theme that I can't discount when it comes to the best Winterboard themes. It is regarded as one of the best themes out there because despite the fact that it is a fairly simple theme, it manages to look classy and elegant. Elite PRO HD is a theme which is best described as a classic. It has been around for quite some time now but still it remains very popular theme among the jailbreak community. And why not? This is a well-made theme and is perfect for folks who just want a simple but elegant theme. It is also fully optimized so it enables lightning fast use of your iOS device.
iNitsua Z Twilight 3volution
If you have seen our previous best Winterboard themes countdowns, you will know that k.nitsua's
iNitsua Z Twilight 3volution always seem to make an appearance. Well, this is actually a personal favorite of mine. Why am I such a sucker for this theme? Well, it is the oozing-with-coolness futuristic concept which reminds me of Sci-fi movies like TRON? Perhaps it is the well-designed original icons which is made from scratch? Maybe it is the fact that it is a dark theme which makes the neon teal highlights really pop out? Maybe it is because it is being constantly updated for new firmware versions? It is a just a great theme overall and definitely deserves to be mentioned in this list.
